David R. Domenichini, Founder/Owner

David R. Domenichini is owner and proprietor of D.R. Domenichini Construction and brings nearly 20 years of experience to his family owned and operated business.

David has extensive training in construction principles and project management; has performed hundreds of remodeling projects over the years and enjoys making people's remodeling dreams come true. He understands that effective communication is imperative and carries his cell phone with him at all times in an effort to make himself readily available to his customers. David employs journeymen carpenters and hires only subcontractors that meet his strict standards in terms of quality, reliability and efficiency.

David resides in the Morgan Hill area with his wife, Gina, and their two children. They are both active in the community.

David is a Board Member of the Morgan Hill Historical Society and has enjoyed volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. His hobbies are home improvement projects and automobile restoration.

David was raised and educated in Northern California. In 2007, he was awarded a California Legislature Assembly Certificate of Recognition for his leadership skills.

Gina Varela-Domenichini, VP, Marketing/Public Relations

Gina Varela-Domenichini has been raised, educated and has resided in Morgan Hill for over 30 years. Her family has been active members of the community for over 20 years. Her father, John Varela, was once Mayor of Morgan Hill and City Council Member, and her mother, Vivian Varela, worked at Community Solutions for over 15 years, in various Social Services positions. Gina took the lead from her parents when she enrolled in the Leadership Morgan Hill program. A graduate of the 2001 Class, Gina joined the Board of Leadership Morgan Hill for four years, and then joined the Board of the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce. Gina Chaired the Board of the Chamber of Commerce in 2005. She is now an active member of Rotary of Morgan Hill.

She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her daughter. Gina received her B.A. degree at San Jose State University.

Scott Calloway, Manager of Operations

Scott Calloway worked in the materials management field for 15 years, managing personnel, freight and inventory, prior to joining D.R. Domenichini Construction. As the Operations Manager, he is responsible for customer relations, safety and training programs, new policy implementation/monitoring and in general, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company.

Mr. Calloway was recognized for his volunteering and assistance in the repair and upgrade project to the historic Grange Hall in Morgan Hill. He and his wife live in San Jose with their daughter. Mr. Calloway enjoys working around the house, working on vintage automobiles, playing ice hockey and skateboarding.

Mr. Calloway served the U.S. Navy for six years as a Survival Equipment man. He was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Carl Vinson (CVN-70) and at Naval Air Station Moffett Field.

Joe Rocha, Estimator and Project Manager

Joe Rocha brings 15+ years of construction experience including his most recent position as owner of Joe Rocha Construction for the last six years.

“Joe is a great addition to our team for many reasons. Joe is conscientious and focused on quality control. He is exceptionally talented working with in rough carpentry which nicely compliments the system we have in place for finished carpentry,” said David Domenichini. “With Joe on our team, Scott and I are able to focus on other functions, improving the team’s efficiencies and growing the business into new markets.”

Born and raised in the Gilroy area, as a teenager Joe worked at his father’s business, Rocha’s Drywall. At first Joe swept the floors and years later after high school, Joe helped managed the 35-year old family business.

Joe enjoys playing guitar and is a fellow car enthusiast. Joe can be seen driving through the Gilroy area in his classic 1967 Camaro which he built from the shell to a running car.
